Chris Bajaj, DO

Dr. Chris Bajaj is a passionate dedicated physician with a focus on the prevention of health problems and complications. In our daily chaotic lives, the importance of nutrition, physical activity and stress management cannot be overlooked. Medications and treatments are often needed, but Dr. Bajaj understands how important patient knowledge and how proper lifestyle modification can significantly improve our health. He has witnessed life-changing improvements in motivated patients.

Born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Dr. Bajaj is a true native Texan. He received his Bachelors’ degree from The University of Texas at Austin and then completed his medical school training at The University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Bajaj completed both his residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Endocrinology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He has continued his growth by obtaining his Fellow of American College of Endocrinology (FACE), becoming Endocrine Certified Neck Ultrasonographer (ECNU) and licensed in Endocrine Nuclear Medicine.

After training, Dr. Bajaj returned home to the Dallas/Fort Worth. He practiced in Grapevine, Texas for 2 years. In 2007, together with Dr. Darren Lackan, they founded the Diabetes and Thyroid Center of Fort Worth. Since this time, the practice has flourished and grown significantly. He has been humbled by the success and honored to be a part of this clinic. He has been voted by his peers as a “Top Doc” in the field of Endocrinology every year from 2008-2023 by Fort Worth, Texas Magazine. He has been voted as a top physician in Endocrinology in both Southlake Magazine and 360 magazine. He was also elected to the Leadership Board of the American Diabetes Association in 2011. He serves on the Lilly Diabetes Global Advisory Board.

Diabetes and Thyroid Center has an active clinic research department. Together with Dr. Anjanette Tan, they have built and established a center of robust science. They have been involved with studies that have change lives and participated in notable international studies. Dr. Bajaj has been the primary investigator, as well as sub investigator for dozens of trials.

Dr. Bajaj also teaches the next generation of health care providers. He is an Assistant Professor at TCU Burnett School of Medicine, as well as an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

When he is not practicing medicine, his priority is his family. Dr. Bajaj has been married for over 2 decades and blessed with 2 children. He enjoys playing golf, attending live music, cooking and staying healthy. In the past, he finished four full length marathons, multiple half marathons, bike races and an Olympic length triathlon. He makes his health a focus and practices what he preaches.
