Chris Bajaj, DO

Dr. Chris Bajaj is a passionate dedicated physician with a focus on prevention of health problems and complications.  In our daily chaotic lives, the importance of nutrition, physical activity and stress management can not be overlooked.   Medications and treatments are often needed, but Dr. Bajaj understands how important patient knowledge and how proper lifestyle modification can significantly improve our health.  In the motivated patient, impressive health changes can be made.

Born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Dr. Bajaj is a true native Texan.  He received his Bachelors’ degree from The University of Texas at Austin and then completed his medical school training at The University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Bajaj completed both his residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Endocrinology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.  He has continued his growth by obtaining his Fellow of American College of Endocrinology (FACE), becoming Endocrine Certified Neck Ultrasonographer (ECNU) and licensed in Endocrine Nuclear Medicine.  He is also actively teaching and is an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

After training, Dr. Bajaj returned home to the Dallas/Fort Worth.  He practiced in Grapevine, Texas for 2 years.  In 2007, he joined Dr. Darren Lackan in opening the Diabetes and Thyroid Center of Fort Worth.  Since this time, the practice has flourished and grown significantly.  He has been humbled by his success.  He has been voted by his peers as a “Top Doc” in the field of Endocrinology every year from 2008-2017 by Fort Worth, Texas Magazine.  He was also elected to the Leadership Board of the American Diabetes Association in 2011.    He has been voted as a top physician in Endocrinology in both Southlake Magazine and 360 magazine.

Dr. Bajaj has been featured on the Discovery Health Channel program, Mystery Diagnosis.  “This was a special case for me, and I feel blessed to have been apart of it.” says Dr. Bajaj.  With the help of Dr. Darren Lackan, he diagnosed an extremely rare tumor that was excreting a hormone causing hypoglycemia and abnormal growth.  At the time, there were less than 20 cases published on the condition.  Once the tumor was surgically removed, the patient’s condition completely reversed.

Outside the clinic, he is a family man.  Dr. Bajaj  is married to his beautiful wife since 2002 and blessed with 2 amazing children.  He is active in church and enjoys cooking and staying healthy.   He has finished four full length marathons, multiple half marathons, bike races and an Olympic length triathlon.  He truly practices what he preaches.
